Corn/Maize/Mielie- The perfect "BHUTTA" snack!
Corn, popularly known as "butta" is one of the most popular street foods in Mumbai and up north of India. And quite a healthy filler snack too! The way it is made is simply to throw the corn on the gas stove. And keep turning it and let it turn brownish black as it pops its way through. Once brown all over, remove it from the gas and rub some butter onto the hot corn. Add some red chilli powder, salt, chaat masala and half a lemon and rub onto the corn using the lemon as a brush. Serve it hot in its own leaf covering as a plate! Great way to start a braai for hungry guests or a fabulous way to get kids to eat healthy!
