INDIAN CULINARY LESSONS

How we'd do it

Its a 3-4 hours course over which you'd roll up your sleeves, put on your munch-munch hat and rumble down India's gastronomic highway. You'd chop, peal, roll, fry, roast, taste and eat a hot starter, 3-4 types of Indian bread, curries, main courses and dessert. And try a snack and a chutney here, a papad there. And as we chop and fry, we hear and tell stories and play Bollywood while soaking in the fantastic views of the Atlantic. And then there is the complimentary wine!! All in all, its half a day of good (and fun) karma..

What we'd do

Brace yourself - you're about to jump on one of the wildest culinary rides of your life where - a riot of colors will simmer your eyes, a motley of smells will fry your nose and a violence of spice will roast your palates. The Bombay to Cape Town cooking bash is a  jumble of my thirty years of watching mum cook, eating grimy food off Bombay streets and now (that I'm in Cape Town), drifting to the Eastern Food Bazaar everytime I crave it. If you're one of the ones for whom food is fun, a story, a sport - come on over and we'd handle spice together.

When, Where, How much..

We don't do scheduled classes. However, if you fancy learning with me, your family and friends, drop me a line and we will make a plan for a weekday evening or weekend

We do this at my home at Ocean View Drive in Green Point, Cape Town overlooking the beautiful Table Bay.

Starts at ZAR 499 per person for the lesson, the dinner and unlimited wine. If you are a little group, call me and we will customize an evening and price for you.
